Story
Hi I'm going 'sober for October' to help raise funds for a friend who is bravely fighting secondary breast cancer. There is currently no cure available for her on the NHS so she is raising funds to go to Germany for immunotherapy which could potentially prolong or save her life.
Emma has a 7 year old son Dylan who my kids all know and I can't stop thinking about this situation they are in. I have 3 kids myself and going sober for one month will be a challenge with the things life throws at me. But that is nothing compared to the fight that Emma is going through.
I feel strongly about doing something to help to raise much needed funds, show my kids the value of helping others and in the process kick start a healthier lifestyle for myself.
