Hi everyone

It’s been 3 years since the inception of Clixta and we’ve come a long way in that time.

We have had tremendous support from everyone; national & international media, the government, local councils, museums, archives etc. but most of all you, our lovely Clixta community.

You will all be aware that Clixta is completely FREE, but what you may not be aware of, is that so far it has been self-funded by the Co-founders plus a small grant. We are actively seeking investment that will see us through the next 18 months but most importantly, allow us to implement improvements to the app that will enhance the user experience and make “keeping the past alive” even more enjoyable. Perhaps the most significant of which will be the introduction of a web based version that will allow access to Clixta from any PC connected to the internet.

Talks are ongoing and we expect significant investment within the next 2 to 3 months, but until then we could use a little bit of help :)

During the last 3 years we haven’t received a penny by way of income. In fact the opposite is true, investing both our time and money in what we believe to be a very worthwhile cause. Unfortunately, we have limited funds and these are beginning to become stretched. 

We had hoped that we would never need to hassle you in this way (much like the guy from Wikipedia haha) but needs must. All we ask is that you consider a small donation. If each user was to contribute just £2 it would enable us to keep our campaign running and ultimately reach our goal of saving the world’s family snapshots and the memories attached to them. If you can help out, any sum, large or small will be gratefully received and make a real difference.

Just to stress, this money will be used to cover expenses and not to pay us personally. We will continue to work on Clixta free of charge.
