In 2011 she got diagnosed with breast cancer, she underwent surgery. After further tests She went on to have a mastectomy then faced 6 months of intense chemotherapy resulting in her losing her hair and feeling very ill, but still kept that beautiful smile on her face. The next 6 months were a huge rollercoaster in Feb 2012 she had her last chemo session and could now look to the future she went straight back to work She was placed on a waiting list for her reconstruction when the time came she underwent a 14 hour operation. In excruciating pain she came out of theatre with that infectious smile on her face asking if the house was tidy and about her grandchildren not a thought for herself. There was still a long way to go but she got through it with support from her family. Her life bissy with appointments, chemo, operations, now slowed down and it hit her she got really depressed but she got through that too. Her breast healed nicely, her hair came back. she started to feel good again. She then met Andy she had finally found happiness and someone to treat her like the precious diamond she is. Unfortunately not for long she was then diagnosed with womb cancer which ment more surgery an hysterectomy, thankfully this superwoman beat it again but it was still a worry. As soon as she left hospital she travelled 6 hours to join her grandchildren on holiday while still in pain. She thought it was over She carried on putting others first, went back to work loving life with Andy and her family.
In 2016 she would have been 5 years clear Unfortunately AGAIN they found something in her bladder they explained bladder cancer is quite easily removed AGAIN that wasn't the case! It turned out to be breast cancer in her bladder which had already spread 5 years ago and is also in other areas of her abdomen and cannot be operated on. She now has chemo tablets daily
