    Story

At the end of April this year, Me, Jacob and Matt will be travelling to Kampala Uganda to visit:

    The Eden School Project
    The Abode School Project
    Kakooto Kids
    Lukwago Childcare Project
    Lake Bunyonyi Orphans
    The Shepherd Centre

The Eden School project, was set up to help provide food and educational materials to its pupils. It has now expanded with 3 more classrooms and a playground thanks to the hard work of Sam Hampson and Ronald Twongyeirwe and provides basic education to over 300 pupils and orphans. We will be visiting its neighbouring school: The Abode School Project, a school recently set up by the work of Kai Cant.
We will also be visiting two orphanages, Lake Bunyonyi Orphans and the Kakooto Project Kabala Street Kids, both set up for street children and a project called The Lukwago CARE Foundation (LCF) which provides a major emphasis in promoting children's right to education.
We will be spending time at the Shepherd Centre, an orphanage project which cares for and secures positive futures for over 34 boys on a permanent basis.

We are trying to raise as much money as we can so that when we arrive in Uganda, we can buy as many clothes, shoes, educational materials and of course footballs and toys for the children in these projects. In Uganda, you can feed 80 children with just one pound; buy 100 pencils for 2 pounds and 50 pens for £3. Specifically, we would also like to be able to spend the money on school tuition to those who cannot afford it. The schools and projects we will be visiting in Uganda receive absolutely no funding at all from the government or local authorities and are completely reliant on tuition fees paid by the parents or guardians of the pupils.
It costs £12 a term to send a child to Eden school in Uganda.

During our time in Uganda we will be giving updates on what the money is being spent on and posting pictures of what your donations will mean to the children. A huge thank you from Catherine and Jacob.
