    Story

The Scout movement is doing all it can to enrich young people's lives and equip them with skills for life in a global community. Part of that programme is to allow as many as possible to experience at least one International Camp whilst they are still in scouts. Something I am very keen and personally involved with. As leaders ( unpaid volunteers) we give hours of our own time to support them. But sometimes they need money as well. So I'm running to raise funds to help the. With the Manchester 10k and Half Marathon done I now have a Scout Association Charity entry for London 2019 Marathon. I'm running to help raise funds for the scouts of the UK Hopefully through scouting they will develop Skills For Life that they will share with dozens of other young people and we will all share a multiplying effect in developing our young people.

From past experience December and January are the most difficult months for so many reasons to keep the mileage up, but crucial to getting a decent base before real mileage build up in February and March. Programme shows 60 -70 miles per week in March. First pair of trainers already worn out and started this week on new Brooks Adrenaline, should get 500 miles out of these.New pair in time for the marathon in April. Thanks for all your support. Please share to get support for the scouts; https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/cmttravel/
