Christopher Plenderleith, Executive Chairman of Leith Planning, will be cycling from Carlisle to Keswick and then back to Kendal along with Dave Nicholls of Dave Nicholls Electrical and Chris' daughter, Alice Plenderleith. This is an 77.6 mile round trip over two days. The bike ride will take place on the 23rd/24th June.

The Plan: Drive to Kendal, get the train from Kendal - Carlisle, cycle from Carlisle - Keswick, stay overnight and then cycle from Keswick - Kendal.

This cycle is a sponsored cycle and all funds raised will be donated to our chosen Charity MDCF.

MDCF are fund raising to obtain a MRI diagnostic machine to support an outstanding charitable hospital project in rural India. The Hospital treats the poorest children and adults in the surrounding area. To date 70,000 patients have been seen over a period of 6 years. A large number of these patients need MRI scanning to assist in the accurate diagnosing of head injuries, cancers and spinal injuries. Currently they are having to turn away seriously ill patients and send them to other hospitals for MRI scans. The journey to the nearest hospital performing MRI is expensive and medically hazardous. Most patients cannot afford the journey or the MRI scan and as a result become much more seriously ill.
