Weʼve raised £32 to build an outdoor shelter in my garden for stray, abandoned, or feral cats in order to give them the care.

    Story

I've volunteered with another organisation in Bradford for a number of years and having done so, I have realised that there is a crisis of stray/feral cats in and around Bradford. I want to personally help improve this situation by building a suitable outdoor shelter in my garden. There are hundreds of feral cats and kittens that currently roam around Bradford.

I've personally fostered several cats over the years and for rescue places, and managed their medical care as well as their day to day needs. I have also attempted to rehouse as many as I possibly can by advertising on facebook, once they are healthy. All this takes place in 3 bedroom home, where I also look after 3 young children.

At times I have had up to 21 cats in my care, which you can imagine is hard work. Having so many cats indoors only isn't ideal nor is it a natural environment for them. Space and shelter is a must and is what I badly need in order to continue.

I am seeking help in creating an outdoor area suitable for cats to live in whilst I a try to rehouse them. Somewhere warm, safe and secure is what I hope to achieve.

The amount that has been requested will go towards the cost of materials and labour to build the outdoor shelter. Anything leftover, if anything at all, will go towards the care of the cats that are in my care.

Once the work is started, I will provide regular updates so that the progress can be monitored.

Thank you in advance for any donations.

Poor Bruce the stray has an injury. He is 1 of the many reasons an outdooor shelter is needed. Dont worry tho he has been to the vets and has had treatment. Shelters provide the satfty and security cats need. Any amount is a step closer to my goal.

My aim is to help as many cats whilst educating cat owners on the care needed for them. Having fostered cats myself for several years and being an owner of 4, I want to continue this in a suitable environment, which is also suitable for bringing up 3 young children.
