    Story

Hi! We are working in Good Hope orphanage in Arusha. It is an amazing place, which is both an orphanage, a daycare and a preschool for children up to the age of 6 years old, or until they are ready for primary school.

The place is owned by one of the most amazing and spirited people, who, 10 years ago brought two orphans from her local community to her home, and took them in. She gave them a place to sleep, food, and an education. Since then more and more children have arrived and the orphanage now has 14 children living there, between the ages of 3-17. Around 50 kids go to the school at the orphanage and are being taught in mathematics, english and kiswahili, by the 3 most amazing teachers who makes the very best of what they have.

The orphanage also helps some of the local children who do not live there and who have absolutely nothing. Good Hope makes sure that the children are fed, dressed in clean clothes and it gives them the opportunity to go to school.

We look forward to go to work everyday, and contribute to the hard work there lies behind the whole project. Therefore it would mean so much if we could help with their economic situation, which is so very tight.

On Friday, the 6th of October, they have to pay the rent for the next 6 months, which is around £900. They have collected £440 themselves, but are in desperate need of the last £460.

We will do everything in our power to help them get that money! Because of that, we would like to ask you, if you could spare just a little money to help the children who would have nothing if the orphanage were to close.

We are grateful for all donations, big as well as small.

If this project to collect money for the rent were to succeed, the rest of the money will go to scolarships for the children whose parents cannot afford it themselves, as even the primary school is expensive for many families here. A small amount of the money will also be used to buy toys (fx swings) and trips for the children, to make their daily life more fun

We hope you will spare just a little time and money to support this good cause, as it would mean the world to these amazing children (literally).
