Since being diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, an incredibly rare and currently incurable condition, 5 year old Connie and her family have made use of the fabulous facilities at Little Havens Hospice. Connie is also a regular visitor to Southend's Neptune ward (in addition to her frequent trips and stays in Great Ormand Street Hospital).

Connie realised on these visits that she was given toys to play with or keep, but became worried there would not be enough toys to go around all the children.

So she decided she wanted to buy some more and here we are - making Connie's wish come true. Children (and their grown-ups) will be walking, running, skipping and dancing the 5k with - or dressed up as- their favourite toy. The funds we raise will help keep Little Havens and Southend's Neptune ward stocked with toys and resources for children of all ages needing treatment and support.

This page has been set up to take donations or for you to sponsor someone you may know who is taking part in the event. All funds raised will be split evenly between the two charities and will go directly towards benefiting children, like Connie and her siblings, who regularly use their services and need them the most.
