I want to help a family who are struggling, not just ordinarily struggling but day to day, hand to mouth struggling. Raising money to help them buy a car, a reliable, family car. Not a brand new car but a second hand car. This is OUR family, daughter, grandson & granddaughter and we have done as much as we can. Now we need to ask for help. Life changed on 26th January 2010. Everything was going perfectly, a happy family, expecting a new baby. The beautiful Georgia Penny entered our lives. Born with Kartergeners Syndrome, a million to one genetic hiccup. There is no cure, it can only be managed. I won't go into what this involves but it's a huge strain for any family. Georgia has suffered more than any small person I know, but she is a fighter. She tires very easily, a car will help get her to school, hospital & for emergencies. Motability allowance is denied because Georgia can walk. The family were pushed into bankruptcy when their mortgage lender refused a mortgage break whilst their child had several life saving surgeries. They lost their home & moved into unsuitable, rented accommodation. Georgia's mother has done her very best & struggles to find work that fits around hospitals & medical needs. A car would really help to get Georgia around without tiring her too much. Sometimes it's hard to fight when you come up against so many obstacles.
