Story
Cambodians are some of the poorest people in the world yet they go unnoticed. They‘ve been subject to tyranny and war and many still go hungry. Two thirds of Cambodians dont have enough food yearly and 75% of their forests have been cut down since the 1990s.

These are the issues I want to help tackle.
it was these shocking facts about some of the world’s most forgotten poor people that inspired me to take action: I signed up to take a trip with Camps International to Cambodia in July 2019.

In July 2019 I‘ll spend three weeks in villages in some of the poorest corners of Cambodia building houses, planting trees and teaching english to children, I’ll even have to complete a 4 day jungle trek of over 80km - even sleeping in the jungle.
As you can imagine, travel to Cambodia is by no means cheap, which is why I’ll be fundraising this journey over the next 18 months - I need to raise just over £3400 and i have donated £400 of my own money to this great cause. I’ll be hosting events from table quizzes to a Night at the Races (2nd March) with many more to follow. This trip won’t be possible without your support. Whether it’s attending events to offering a venue for fundraisers or donating money (in which case you’ve come to the right page!) every type of help, big or small, gets me closer to Cambodia.
Thank you so much and I hope you’ll support me!
Cormac
