Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
"A huge thank you to all who've donated so far. You're generosity has enabled me to work 50 hours a week for Labour in Bournemouth throughout December, January & February I now need to cover my rent & living expenses for March so I can continue at this pace.
Your support has freed me up to: spend more time canvassing; meet local community leaders; build relationships & gain support from Labour MPs & national party staff; coordinate our local party members & prepare the strategy for this May's local election campaign; organise training for local members; direct our social media & engage with national discussion; carry out research for local policy & messaging; plan & host a celebration for members & supporters from across the county and much more!
On a practical note: I continue to do part-time domestic cleaning & am lodging, in order to reduce money I need to get by. I still cannot continue to give so many hours to Labour, though, without your help." Corrie
Money donated will be used to pay for rent, food & other essential living expenses. It goes into a dedicated bank account. It will not be used for leaflets or other direct campaign expenses, nor will it be used to purchase any kind of asset.
If you decide to donate, please email your address to email@example.com so I can declare expenses in the event of an early general election.
If you wish to set up a direct payment through Paypal or Direct Debit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Corrie is also standing for a seat on the local council in West Southbourne this May.
Corrie is working with a group of Labour Parliamentary Candidates & MPs, encouraging the Party's National Executive Committee to offer financial support to working class & low income candidates. Corrie believes in the importance of a representative parliament, with the diversity of experience to truly serve all people. Historically, financial privilege has been required to allow a person the time & funds to campaign & win a seat. Unfortunately, this is still largely the case.
"Politics should not be the preserve of those who can afford to be candidates." - Jeremy Corbyn
