Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
On 19 November there was a van jacking hit and run incident in Swan Lane/Caluden Rd area of Coventry. The victim (name as yet unknown) tried to prevent the theft of his transit van, was dragged down the road at speed as he desperately clung to the wipers, before being thrown off and left for dead on the side of the road. The thief(s) then drove away and the van was later found burnt out in another part of the city. The injured man was helped by Emergency Services and members of the public at the roadside and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
All donations received will go directly to the victim, who was just going about his daily business before falling foul of this cruel, heartless act. He will inevitably require a lengthy period of recuperation, and will also need to replace his van, tools etc
