Weʼre raising £10,000 to fund premises for Cerebral Palsy society of Kenya

Nairobi, Kenya

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Cerebral Palsy Society Kenya

This is a Kenyan charity committed to removing the stigma for children and their families and ensure the children get appropriate therapy. They care for 400 children and have grown over the last 14 years. They are in desperate need of permanent premises to continue their work.

I have supported the charity in Nairobi as they have initially stopped Mothers being evicted as local superstition thought they were witches or in some cases even stoned in the early days. Today they run a professional clinical and outreach Physiotherapy support. I have made donations over the years and always seen every penny go to support the children. I have seen one child desperately affected who has gone on to get a degree at the local University. Others have been helped to have a normal life in their community. The clinic also gives ongoing support for the more disabled children.

I am going out to visit the clinic in a few weeks time and would like to help them by raising sufficient funds for their clinic premises so that the charity is sustainable. Each year they are able to raise sufficient funds locally for staff and consumables and ensuring the premises are paid for will give the charity a long term future.
