We know that there are loads of kids out there who don't or can't access sport. We also know that there are loads of kids who need help raising their confidence. Taking part in sport is proven to have beneficial outcomes, especially if that sport is team based. But sometimes it is hard for kids to access sport, there are often barriers in the way - no equipment, no friends to do it with, lack of confidence, simply no enthusiasm.

Crackit! is a project that links design with sport - its aimed at non-sporty kids and those kids who have low confidence; and it works. Over 6 weeks the students work together in teams to develop a design for a character (the character is based on a sporting term). At the same time they are being taught a sport importantly taught to them by a professional coach. The teamwork in the sport is reinforced back in the design room and vice versa.

We have seen some amazing results and we want to make Crackit! more accessible, take it to more schools, and youth clubs.........anywhere really, anywhere where kids want to access sport, and where they may be suffering from a lack of confidence.

We want to raise £2500 to help us reach another 5 schools allowing 100 more kids to access the benefits of Crackit!. The money will be used to help pay for the equipment that the students can use to carry on playing sport. We already have some but we need just this little bit more.
