I need to get fitter.

A friend of mine has just signed up for a fantastic looking 5k obstacle course but i think going from no exercise to that may be too far, i also have back issues that if i land wrong i wont walk away from it.

I could let that be my excuse to not do anything, in the past i would, but im setting myself a challenge

Im going to use the same date to set my goal of going from couch potato to running 5k, its just over 2 months away and anyone that knows me knows my daily training is getting dressed

Im wanting sponsorship to give to others from my efforts, (and so i cant back out, once i make this public it will be set in stone and i WILL do it or have all my sponsors to answer to, and hopefully close friends will help keep check on me and motivate me to keep going!)

I have chosen to support Great Ormond Street Children's hospital, i wont say too much but my niece Summer is an amazing, beautiful little girl who has been treated there and its a special place, helping the people that helped her is going to be my motivation.

Now in case anyone wonders, i'm not doing this as going direct to the charity for the simple reason that if i beat my initial target i want to put money to another charity aswel as Great Ormond Street, and that is the British Heart Foundation.

My dad and father in law have both had heart attacks in the past couple of years and both 'events' knocked us sideways, so this is another very important charity i want to support

I have loads of Facebook 'friends' many don't know me at all, many i've helped through my job, many this wont have any bearing on in the slightest, but look past the fact you barely know me, if even half of the people on my Facebook wanted to give £2 to charity at some point in the next 2 months then this is an easy way to do it and get a fat bloke, well, i wont say fit, lets say, less fat
