Assalamu’alaikum | Ramadan MubaraK

This Ramadan, a group of brothers (from all over London/Tower Hamlets) have teamed up and together have decided to raise money and support 4 charities. The charities that have been chosen are:

• Human Aid • Lonely Orphans • Muslim Charity • MATW

Further details of the charity campaign can be found at the bottom of the page. So far: We have managed to raise £800 (which means that so far each charity will get £200 each)

We appreciate that everyone will be doing their own charity in sha Allah. But thought we can do something collectively as a crowd taking advantage of the last few days of the *rewards sale*. Last year we did the same and Alhamdulillah, raised *£4154*.

Unity Car Wash: We will be hosting a charity car wash on the 10th of June 2018 in Bow Locks Car Wash, 26 Bow Road, London E3 4LN

Start time: 11am | End time: 8pm

What we want is your support to carry out this charitable task. Whether its equipment or material that we can use, or even funding and donation towards the event. Help in anyway possible would be greatly appreciated so do please get in touch if you would like to get involved.

As a result, you will be not only be a part of something great. But also be empowering the local youth in completing a charity event within the community. Something you will be rewarded for in sha Allah.

A bit more about each campaign:

Human Aid: Building hope in a unique village, ‘Hopeville’ for Orphans and Widows inside Syria; it will comprise of 50 homes, a mosque, a school and a activity centre. Hopeville will not just provide all the basic necessities, but also provide vocational courses for the widows, education and psychological support for the orphans. This will help the children overcome the trauma that they have suffered and be prepared for the future.

Lonely Orphans: Medical camps for the Rohingya. A huge number of refugees who have never in their lives been seen by a doctor but need urgent lifesaving medical care. Lonely Orphan will provide primary and secondary healthcare. Primary care to be provided by local doctors. Those who require secondary healthcare will be seen by more specialists in nearby hospitals. The tertiary healthcare will be provided by partner organisations who deliver healthcare to refugees across the world.

Muslim Charity: Muslim Charity with your help has been tirelessly working with the Palestinian people providing medical aid, safe water and supporting our widows and orphans. Protests along Israel’s perimeter fence with Gaza have resulted in the highest number of both fatalities and injuries since the ‘Great March of Return’ began on 30 March. Over 50 have been killed and 2,000 injured amongst them our children. Help MC support hospitals in Gaza with medical aid to tend to the wounded, with medical equipment to enable lifesaving surgery and with hope and love so they may stand tall when they face injustice.

MATW: Muslims Around The World was a special project developed in October 2015 to assist those less fortunate in the poverty stricken areas of Togo in Africa. “Muslims Around the World” was established by Ali Banat, a brother from within the Australian Muslim community. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer and immediately decided to distribute his wealth. The humanitarian and philanthropist passed away on the 29th May 2018. During Ali’s last years he travelled to Togo, Africa and spend the rest of his time assisting the communities there. The money raised will be used towards current projects run by MATW. I.e. villages constructions, a school for orphans, hospital/medical centre, and businesses to support the local community.
