Our children's school, Winterfold House School, has a sister school, Ncenmaneni, in Zululand South Africa. Over the years, Winterfold has raised funds for the school including for a new classroom block and science laboratory. The headmaster, Armstrong Mthembu, visited Winterfold in October 2017 and explained what a difference the partnership has made to his students many of whom are from child-led households. The latest project is to raise money for a new computer block and we want to do our little bit towards it. We are running the Great Midlands Fun Run which is 14k (an awful long way when you are 9 years old!). We are looking forward to visiting the school ourselves in 2018 and meeting some of the students.
