Story
We are raising money to replace our damaged and unfit artificial cricket wicket, used by all junior and senior players at Claton West CC for practicing and also for matches. Whilst they don‘t come cheap (over £5,000) with nearly 100 junior members and 50 senior members, many people would benefit from the use of the new equipment and it would massively improve the quality of coaching & practice offered to our junior players. To get us off to a great start, in June 2018 (21st-24th) a number of Club members (14 of us!) are doing a 120 miles sponsored walk - also helping to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. We are aiming to raise £10k (£5k each) for both charities from the walk. Anything you can do to help these causes (see Just Giving for our Brain Tumour Research page). Thank you kindly - from everyone at Clayton West CC.
The existint artificial wicket has been in place for over 10 years and is not fit for purpose any more and now has holes in it, as you can see below.
