    Story

On 8th April 2020, Fiji was hit by a category 4 Cyclone Harold which caused mass devastation and destruction. This page has been set up by myself, Emma Whitney, from England and my partner Alivereti Naco as we are currently living in his home village Lomanikoro, Nakasaleka, Kadavu and the cyclone has ripped the village to pieces. Many people have lost their homes, belongings and livelihoods as many of the plantations were damaged too. I would really appreciate you taking the time to read the blog I have written about how badly the village was affected which you can find by following this link:

    https://notlostinfiji.com/2020/04/09/cyclone-harold-in-kadavu-our-story/

We will be discussing with the village how best to use your donations and we will keep this page updated so you are aware of what you are doing to help them in these difficult and testing times. We couldn’t be more thankful for even the smallest donation so only if you are able, please give what you can.

Vinaka vaka levu, thank you so much for your help, God bless.

To everyone that donated, A huge vinaka vaka levu to you all...finally, we have an update on how the money is being used. Alf is currently on his way over to the village with all of the materials and resources needed to rebuild the village sea wall, all bought out of your donations. The village suffered from some more extreme flooding last week that did extra damage to houses and peoples belongings so rebuilding the sea wall is essential to protect everyone in Nakasaleka. The village are incredibly thankful for your help and so are we xxx
