Damn Cheek have received funding to create a site specific community project in Heworth/Felling Gateshead - for Summer 2021.

At the centre of this professionally produced production, will be art and media installations, soundscapes and designs created by local community members and local school children - promoting school readiness, sustainability and wellbeing amongst the community - leaving a brilliant legacy in the area.

However we still need to raise another £4,000 in order to make this project happen ...and as part of our fundraising effort Darren will donate £2000 of his (first ever) marathon fundraising efforts towards the project. The rest he will donate towards supporting Damn Cheek's other creative projects during these tricky times.

so please help us have a huge impact on the community and surrounding areas of Heworth/Felling by supporting this and other Damn Cheek projects!

Having had a very bad accident a few years ago resulting in 3 major operations on my left leg, along with the fact that this is my first ever marathon - I'm super nervous and equally excited to be running such a distance in the (delayed) London Marathon for this great cause!
