In the year of 2015 my partner carlene gave birth to our healthy beautiful boy Jaycob he was perfect. Every thing was great but as the weeks went on carlene found a lump after many appointments,tests and biopsies it was confirmed by the hospital that it was breast cancer we were devastated but we had to be strong for each other and our son who was also recieving treatment jaycob fell very unwell the weeks turned into months a diagnosis was made that Jaycob had something called Hydrocephalus. As parents me and carlene thought we were one step closer to helping Jaycob get better now a cause had been found. months went on Jaycob got better but at the same time carlene was receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer.. jaycob was given the clear to come back home he did have a shunt fitted a (valve) in his skull to drain the excess fluid off but he is a tough boy and thrilled to have him home.
So our concentration turned to carlene who was doing the upmost to beat this after 6 cycles of chemo a double mastectomy amongst other operations carlene was given the ok.
it had been a long tough road with my son and partner the best part of 18months had passed with not much of a life for us all and it was one of the hardest times of our lives. But the show must go on well at least that's what we thought
In January of 2018 carlene was dignosed with secondary breast cancer it had returned but with vengeance it had spread to her stomach and unfortunately we were given the devastating news that there was no cure this time. All they could offer was chemo to shrink the cancer if it worked carlene would have years. If she did not react to the treatment carlene could possibly have months I mean what do you say to that. So with your help i would like to try and give her the best time of her life over this period Any amount you can offer, it doesn’t matter how much it is, will play a huge part Thank you all so much for helping us.
