Thieves have stolen a life-saving defibrillator from a local children's football club.

So after I read this story online I am asking for you help

I am wanting to raise £3000 to help the club/community by getting hold of two new defibrillators one for the football club and one for another cause. The original defib was donated by a charity call North East Hearts. Check out there website

Here are some facts

•For every minute that passes between collapse and defibrillation, survival rates from sudden cardiac arrest decrease 7% to 10%. When bystander CPR is provided, the decrease in survival rates is more gradual and averages 3% to 4 % per minute.

•If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74%

•Without immediate treatment, 90-95 percent of Sudden Cardiac Arrest victims will die

•12 people under the age of 35 die every week due to sudden cardiac arrest in the UK

•270 children die in the UK per year after suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest at school

All these figures can be reduced with your help. With the use of early interventions and the use of an AED.
