Recently my mum got diagnosed with rare & high grade form of endometrial cancer.

After looking into the best options for treatment, it stuck me that there is very little research & awareness on this particular illness. We want to help make the best decision for mum & there is only the one recent study to guide us.

As the 4th most frequent cancer in women, this is the 'most common diagnosis you've never heard of' (Guardian article). I looked into it further & believe it or not, there is just one womb cancer charity to support people like mum which was set up in 2016. https://goo.gl/AA9Aps

I want to support my mum in the best way I can through doing my first triathlon. I am aiming to raise £1 for every 50m metres covered on the day. Please share ect but dont tell her - I want to surprise her on race day.

The count down is on and it is exactly a month away (17th June). I'll take on a 1.5Km swim in the Thames, a 40Km cycle & a 10Km run to top it all off. The picture you see above is of me, sporting my fancy new wetsuit to help through the swim. I'll need it.

I hope you will support me on my challenge to raise much needed funding for this life threatening disease. I will be raising money for Action on Womb Cancer & will be delighted with any contribution you can make.
