My damaged kidneys didn’t gave me any pain or other symptoms, but the condition is so bad that after several weeks in a hospital, they put me on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. Oh my! Im just 45 years old… I have the three most beautiful children! I have to live! It all started when I was a little child. My parents being very conservative and religious were ashamed of my illness and didn’t take me to the doctors much, which I think was kind of ridiculous. They thought that it would go away but unfortunately it only got worse…

It was a combination of having determination, positive attitude and passion for what I loved, but also my fantastic family who I am very proud of…
For a few weeks I didn’t realize how seriousily ill I was. My beautiful 18 year old daughter told me "Dad I cant live without you… let me give you this precious gift! Let me be part of it. I want to give you my kidney so you could live"... How could I take it from my child? That made me realize that I have to do everything to survive. I didn’t want my children to know that so many people are dying from waiting for a transplant. It is hard for me to ask for help but I have no choice, I want to live! The NHS told me I don't even have 4 years….Every day counts for me….
