Our daughter Tegan was born in 2004 with Hypothyroidism which is a deficiency of Thyroid hormones which has resulted in her having to take a medication of Levothyroxine for the rest of her life. In December 2005 she was admitted to hospital and was critical over the New Year with Pneumonia and spent years after in and out of hospital fighting off illnesses as her immune system struggled to rebuild itself.
Tegan was diagnosed early this year as having ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) which has unfortunately effected her in more ways than we thought possible. She has lost friends because she is different and is suffering both verbal and cyber bullying from the children that she once used to play alongside.
After being made redundant from my job in February I managed to find employment which has resulted in the relocation of our family to Saudi Arabia in which my family will be joining me in the beginning of 2017.
I have attempted to find a placement for my daughter in the International Schools here in Saudi Arabia but I have found that the schools do not offer support for children with special needs resulting in us having to homeschool.
