Story
My Daughter and I are swimming the Dart 10K on 16th September 2018. While we're at it we would like to raise some money for causes we believe in. I am raising money for the Vernon monument - www.vernon-monument.org.uk. I will be splitting my money raised with Cancer Research. Many thanks, any amount helps.
well we did it in about 3 hours on the dot. Hoping to catch a few more pounds before the just giving page closes. I think I have about £210 here and £300 offline from friends. Hoping to double it to the £1000 within the next week or so.
I am trying to add some pictures but the technology fails me or I fail it.
I particularly enjoyed the Jelly baby stop on the second pontoon, I was ready to do the last 4 miles to Dartmouth but apart from not getting permission I think Suzy had had enough for her first big swim. Great effort.

6 years ago2 days to go! We have virtually swum the distance at Blackpool in training by doing 8 widths and in the water for 2 hours and 20 minutes. We both are now wearing boots and a layer underneath, Suze a rash vest and me a vest i made from my old wetsuit! Thank you for all your support!

6 years agoThree times a week we are swim training at Blackpool Sands. Monday we did 6 widths which is about 3 miles, it was choppy and there was a swell. Today we did 4 widths or about 2 miles. I have ordered a new wetsuit as my old one is letting the water in! Its cold at this age! Serious ice-cream head when you first get it but then you acclimatise. 18days to go !
