Hi. I'm Dave and I am fortunate enough to have received a golden ticket into the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon. Having only taken up running 10 months ago after a couple of friends and I agreed to take on the North Run - half marathon. This is by far my biggest challenge ever.

I am taking on this challenge on behalf of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution- RNLI.

I am a volunteer crew member with Hunstanton Lifeboat Station in Norfolk and I appreciate how important fundraising/donations are to the RNLI as they are not funded by the government and rely entirely on good will, that is why I am proud to run for the RNLI.

In 2015 from boots to boats it cost over £168m for volunteer crews to at a moments notice do what they do best... Saving life's at sea.
