4 marathons, 3 countries, 2 feet, 1 month! #gordon4steps2walk

I am a UK Orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon and my career has been spent making lives better by curing painful conditions so people can walk and enjoy life without pain. Most of my patients, when they first meet me, despite their pain, can still walk.

Imagine though, if your feet are so deformed and painful that you have never been able to walk properly or even been able to put your foot flat on the floor. Without access to basic medical care at birth or simple surgical facilities and expertise, people can be left with severe disabling deformities, having a huge impact on their lives and those of their families.

Steps 2 Walk is a humanitarian orthopaedic foot and ankle charity, who's volunteers perform surgery, so young people in areas of need around the world, can walk. The charity also trains local surgeons so they can continue to provide ongoing treatment for their local population.

Your kind donation will go towards supporting missions which cost $40, 000 each. The team will perform 15 to 20 surgeries per mission. So $2000 gives the gift of walking to one child.
