Story
My mum sadly passed away on the 2nd of January at St John's Hospice in Balby. Before she died she wanted to raise some money to say thank you to the doctors and nurses that took care of her. Usually, any funds raised/given to the hospice are put in it's own accounts. But my mum didn't want that, she wanted the money to go to those who helped her. Initially there were a couple of ideas; sponsored tattoos, selling handmade items etc. Eventually my mum settled on the idea of making each doctor and nurse a small hamper/package to say thank you. Hence the reason I've made this a Crowd Funding page rather than a Just Giving page.
In 2018 I plan on running a half marathon to raise funds for the hospice itself. A Just Giving page will be created for that when I know which one I'm going to run.
