Story
Mason, is just nine years old. He was born with severe brain damage and has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. This means that Mason has no use of any of his limbs, he can't speak and he is also registered blind. After a near death episode in 2011 Mason was referred to Robin House Children’s Hospice in Balloch which is run by CHAS. Jason Eadie, Mason's father explains."It’s an amazing place. The staff are always happy to see you and they can’t do enough for you. When we visit, we can spend proper time together as a family, away from the daily strains and stresses that come with looking after a child who has a life-threating condition. At home there are always things to do, but at Robin House we can have a break and spend quality time with Mason".
“Mason is a wee fighter”. He attends Campsie View, a special needs primary school and enjoys life to the full. Mason's muscle tone is tight due to his Cerebral Palsy so his most enjoyable time is spent in a hydrotherapy pool. Friends of Mason's family have recently been fundraising to help fund a hydro/spa pool for Mason. The family are due to move later this year to an adapted house for Mason. Its Jason's intention to locate the pool in a garden summer house and to turn it into a much needed sensory environment for Mason to enjoy. Any funds raised will go towards making this possible.
On the 29 April 2018 i will be running the Stirling Marathon and all monies raised will go towards getting that much needed summer house for Mason to enjoy. Please support me in any way you can.

6 years agoThank you very much to everyone that has supported me. I completed the marathon in 4hrs and 03mins and was overwhelmed to see Mason at the finishing line with a cool bottle of beer. He is a true inspiration and a wee fighter who got me round the course. It was very hilly in parts and rained on a few occasions, however I’m really happy with my time. There is still time to spread the word, please advertise as best you can. Thanks again - regards DD QS
