    Story

Chloe Lucia Poole lived 18th November 1989 to 27th January 2018. In those 28 years she was an inspiration to all she met, including her family, her friends and the students she taught. Chloe had Non Hodgkin's B cell Lymphoma and despite fighting the cancer for two years, she died from complications during the stem cell transplant. Chloe will be dearly missed by all that knew her. In her life Chloe was incredibly passionate about many causes. The aim of the Chloe Poole Legacy Fund is to each year be able to make a tangible difference to causes that Chloe felt passionately about.

The three main areas to support are:

    1. Underprivileged students from the area Chloe grew up in. As a teacher, Chloe would work tirelessly to provide the best education for the students she taught, spending most of her time with students at risk of not succeeding due to their social background. For this reason, money raised each year will go to providing a scholarship for a student from the Wythenshawe area who due to economic circumstances would not otherwise be able to afford to go to university.

    2. Chloe spent time in India working with a charity for orphaned children and each year we will make a donation to this charity to make a difference to educating children out of poverty in India.

    3. Chloe dreamt of setting up her own Women's refuge for victims of domestic violence. To provide a safe space for women to get back on their feet, provide them with support to get back into work and carve out a new safe life for themselves and their children. Each year we would like to support an already existing charity with the same values and who provide support for victims of domestic violence.

Although Chloe is no longer with us day to day she lives on in everyone that ever knew her. Chloe was such an inspirational and passionate person that we are all able to carry on her crusade to make a difference as she lives on in all of our hearts.

Its an honour to support this in memory of a very inspirational young woman who I had the pleasure of knowing a little, who was committed to an area I grew up in.
