In 2 sleeps time, I am running my first half marathon in Cardiff!! I didn't actually believe I would get to this point and am quite excited now.

As many of you are aware, Dad continues to live with the effects of a stroke that he suffered 5 years ago. My nursing career could never have prepared me for the impact this has had on Dad, Mum and the family. It is heartbreaking to see the daily struggle with which Dad and Mum manage with such strength and dignity.

Western Active Stroke Group (WASG) provide Dad and Mum with support and guidance and the opportunity to do things that they may not have had the confidence to do. The group provides support to other members affected by Stroke. It enables physiotherapy, social and other recreational activities.

I am running 13.1 miles for them. Please consider sponsoring me?
