Hello my name is Debbie and I am the proud Mother of Chris Wernham. For those of you who are lucky enough to know Chris you will know what a Kind, thoughtful fun loving person that he is, passionate about his Family, Metal detecting and Manchester United.

Chris is 40 and has a lovely family. Emma his girlfriend, Debbie his daughter and Jake his son.

In June 2016 Chris suffered and injury to his shoulder whilst carrying a heavy parcel, the next day whilst at work he had a tumble and was slurring his speech slightly so was taken off to Hospital. It was thought Chris had suffered a stroke but the test did not confirm this. Chris did not improve over the months and his speech was slightly more noticeable and some weakness in his limbs. Tests in January gave Chris the devastating diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease.

MND is a cruel disabling, life shortening disease with no cure. The disease is progressing.

Chris is fighting this every step of the way and refuses to give up "I don't have a white flag " is what he will tell you. Chris does not feel sorry for himself but takes every day as it comes he just fights every day a little harder.

I would like to raise this money to enable Chris to help keep his independence and ability to join in with family and friends. Life Is very hard for Chris just the simple every day things we all take for granted are very difficult.

MND society need all the money they can get to find a cure to this awful disease. Please give what you can we never know who this effect next and how many peoples lives will be destroyed.

I will throw myself out of a plane for your donations. I have a Skydive booked on 3rd February 2018 at Netheravon.

This is not a decision I have made lightly getting on a plane for starters and then throwing myself out of it is my nightmare from hell.
