I have been visiting Romania and been involved with horses there for twelve years. When my own horse contracted COPD, Lori was recommended to me as someone who is passionate about helping animals. As a medical vet, he encounters many cases where special treatment, care and rest are required in order for a horse to make a full recovery.

For this reason, Lori would now like to establish a treatment centre for horses suffering from chronic illnesses. He already owns the necessary land, but needs support to build the centre. From here, he will care for up to 8 horses who may need support, surgery and aftercare. Whilst perfectly located in a quiet rural setting, this area is no longer eligible for EU development funding, following a change to administrative boundaries. Lori is offering his veterinary services free of charge, but does not have the personal funds required to build the necessary accommodation. Because there is such an outstanding lack of equine centres such as this in Romania, I am hoping that together we can start to meet this need.
