Story

I am taking part in the Belfast half marathon on 23rd September 2018 in memory of my Mum Jennifer Newell and also for little Cameron Truesdale. On 27th January 2017 Cameron was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPG).

Cameron has been battling the highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumour since then and has been receiving pioneering treatment in Mexico as this is not supported by the NHS. Realistically this treatment comes at a price and in excess of £300,000 is needed for Cameron to complete his treatment and have a chance of beating this horrendous cancer.

Please give anything you can no matter how little and help Cameron complete his treatment in Mexico and win his battle with DIPG #cure4cam

Unfortunately wee Cameron is not so good and his family have had to take some very tough decisions and hard news this week. Cameron's tumours are progressing and instead for now his family have opted to look at radiotherapy in order to stunt this progression. They are also hopeful there will be other trials that will help Cameron. Please keep Cameron in your thoughts and donate whatever you can to help. He will still need medication from Mexico which comes at a cost and will have other medical requirements which the NHS do not support.
