For a while now, a few of us have been talking about getting a Defibrillator for the village. We are a small village and I would hope that we wouldn't need it, but I, along with others are happy to fund raise for an AED in case there was a time some one here, did need it.

A Defibrillator (AED) is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it's an essential life saving step in the chain of survival. The quicker a defibrillator is used the higher the chance of survival.
We hope to provide some training to anyone who is interested or have never seen an AED before, the more people who know how to use it the better.

We have looked into schemes available, and we are now keen to get this off the ground. The hall has agreed to it being situated outside the hall so it would be available to anyone in the village if required. Lets do defib for 2017!
