Weʼve raised £221 to - Prynu, hyfforddi a gosod diffibriliwr yn hen giosg Pentreuchaf / Install a defibrillator in the old telephone kiosk at Pentreuchaf

    Pentreuchaf, United Kingdom
Funded on Tuesday, 16th January 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Gofynnwn yn garedig i chi fy noddi ar gyfer yr uchod.

Bydd yr arian a gesglir yn mynd tuag at brynu a gosod diffibriliwr yn hen giosg Pentreuchaf. Bydd y diffibriliwr yn adnodd amhrisiadwy ac yn ganolog i’r pentref ei hun gan gynnwys y gymuned ehangach a’r ysgol gynradd leol.

Bob blwyddyn mae 8000 o bobl yng Nghymru yn cael trawiad ar y galon y tu allan i'r ysbyty. Y gyfradd oroesi ar hyn o bryd yw 3% yn unig.

Mae'r siawns sydd gan rywun o oroesi yn gallu cynyddu'n sylweddol pan ddefnyddir diffibriliwr ac adfywio cardio-pwlmonaidd (CPR) o fewn deng munud i'r trawiad.

Bydd canran o’r arian hefyd yn mynd tuag at achos da arall yn y gymuned sef Cylch Meithrin yr ardal.

    Diolch yn fawr.

    Gethin Thomas,

    Pennaeth Ysgol Pentreuchaf

On the 28th of October, 2017, I shall be running “one of the toughest races in Britain”, the Snowdonia Marathon - 26 miles (flat equivalent distance of 29.3 miles) along the dramatic trail around Snowdon!

I kindly ask you to sponsor me for the above.

The money collected will go to install a defibrillator in the old telephone kiosk at Pentreuchaf. The defibrillator will be an invaluable and central resource for the village itself including the wider community and the local primary school.

Every year 8,000 people in Wales experience a heart attack outside of the hospital. The current rate of survival is only 3%.

The chances of survival can increase significantly when a defibrillator and cardio-pulmonary recitation (CPR) are used within ten minutes of the attack.

A percentage of the money will also go towards another community asset - Cylch Meithrin / Nursery in the area.

    Thank you very much.

    Gethin Thomas,

    Ysgol Pentreuchaf Headteacher
