Dear Friends and Family,
Whilst in Nepal, I volunteered at Community Based Rehabilitation Bhaktapur, in Bhaktapur, Nepal. https://cbrbhaktapur.wordpress.com/
Children I saw there had multiple and complex disorders including head injuries due to road traffic accident (sadly too common in Nepal), Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Moderate to Profound Learning Disabilities.
I trained staff and treated children with very basic tools.
I want to go back there in a few months (hopefully with my friend and ex OT colleague Emma) and give trainings to staff and parents. I will pay myself for all my expenses. The money I hope to raise via Just Giving will help to build therapeutic and play equipment, from material all sourced in Nepal. This could include material to make splints, specialist chairs/ wheelchairs, head protectors, accessible specialist toilet and/or water access, arts & crafts tools and toys.
I am running different projects to raise awareness of this project including a half marathon on the 26th February in Brighton and later an auction.

Les enfants du centre avaient des besoins multiples tels que lesions cérébrales (les accidents de la route sont malheureusement frequents au Nepal), paralysie cerebrale, autisme, etc.
J'ai donne des stages et ai traite les enfants avec les moyens du bord. Dans quelques mois je veux y retourner avec mon amie et ex collegue Emma. Je paierai pour mon voyage moi meme. L'argent recueilli a travers ce site financera des équipements thérapeutiques et ludiques, par example: attelles, chaises specialisees, du materiel d'art et des jeux.
J'ai organise des evenements pour faire connaître mon projet: 1/2 marathon en fevrier et une vente aux enchères.
