As a volunteer Dementia Action Group we are committed to creating a dementia friendly environment in which having dementia does not preclude social and active lives.

To this end we promote dementia awareness, signpost people to advice and information on dementia, and create projects and partnerships which offer opportunities to enrich the quality of life for those living with dementia , their families and carers..

Our projects for 2017 include raising awareness amongst our local sports club members and health and leisure centres to offering sporting activities for those who need to take life at a slower pace - table tennis, walking football and even cage cricket.

Ryan is a colleague at Sainsbury's Ringwood, with whom we are in partnership, and he has chosen to fundraise for our charity when he runs in the 5K Glow Run, Pier to Pier, in Bournemouth on 28th January 2017.
