Hi all, as most of you are aware, especially where my roots stem from in Shotton, my twin brother Daz is actively involved with a community gardening project called 'Digging Deeside'. My brother was left with horrific injuries over 20 years ago when involved in a car crash, it pretty much left him house-bound, his out-going nature destroyed, and replaced with someone with very little confidence and with no form of human interaction outside of the family.
Digging Deeside is a community project with which a group of like-minded people get together weekly on a volunteery basis to maintain the allotments, have a brew and a giggle, form new friendships...but most importantly, have a reason to step off the front doorstep each morning.
I carnt emphasis how much this project has improved my brothers quality of life, and his confidence has soared. I know we all enjoy digesting his daily bulletins, thats his kick, its what puts a smile on his face.
You may or may not of heard from Daz, or read in the Evening Leader, but some low-life scum have broken into their storage unit, stole all their gardening tools, change from donations, oh yea and the chocolate digestives just to rub it in.
Now whilst i would like to find who did this, fit them with concrete boots, and throw them into the river dee my more professional self is asking my friends, family, and all Daz's friends to put some chippy change together so they can replace their tools, and buy a more secure unit.

Every little helps, please spare a few quid because it really will make a difference
