Weʼre raising £250 to help fund www.digitalholocaustmemory.com - a not for profit research and public engagement website.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
www.digitalholocaustmemory.com was designed as an online space to bring together professionals working in Holocaust education, museum and archive organisations, media creators, and media and digital humanities academics at a time when Holocaust memory is at the precipe between a 'living' and a 'mediated' memory.
The project is entirely self-funded by me. It costs $136 (USD) to run each year in its current form, but to expand the provision to include more audio-visual content for our ever-growing community the site needs to be updated to a WordPress Business Account, which would raise annual costs to $204 (£250 GBP). We welcome any small donations to help support this on-going work. The website can be seen here: Digital Holocaust Memory
