I have been affected severely by peroneal muscular atrophy and several chronic medical problems. The condition I have has severely disabled me. My disease is a muscle wasting condition. It is progressive and there is no cure. I am in pain most of the time, confined to a wheel chair and need care and help all the time. Music, creating music, is a passion of mine that I would like to keep doing for as long as I am able to.

Seven years ago, I was still able to play piano, keyboards and guitar. But since then, my condition has affected my arms and hands, and I now rely on a computer to make music. I can no longer play the real instruments and now rely on 'virtual' instruments.

Making music is a big part of me. It's a passion that I want to do whilst I still can, as I know there will come a time at some point when I will not be able to do this, or even use a computer.

I have most items in place thanks to kind donations from companies and people, but need a studio desk I can use with my wheelchair. Most studio desks are the wrong height for use with a wheelchair, and studio monitors need to be in the right place and the right height to mix music. So I need a specially-made desk and some studio monitors to be able to create, mix and produce music. It has become too hard and painful to use headphones because my neck muscles are now also affected by my disease.
