Dominika Rezka is a female rugby player playing for Polish club AZS AWF Warsaw and she also played for Polish national team. Unfortunately, she got really injured and cannot play anymore until she gets an operation. At the time she got injured, Polish Union did not offer insurance. Dominika received some insurance money from the club that allowed her to do the necessary tests but not the operation. She is scheduled for an operation with the Polish national health system but she has to wait for it for TWO years. There is no guaranty that her operation will actually take place as scheduled, it may take even longer.

Dominka had a good doctor who can fix her but the operation will cost 18K PLN which is approximately 4K GBP. It’s a lot of money in Poland.

Dominka was left out by her union, she is also too shy to ask for help. She loves rugby, she is very professional, she gives or herself to this sport. She is still actively involved in her team and she also started refereeing.
