Last week we were given the devasting news that our 66 year old, lovely Dad, has a brain tumour, and that the prognosis isnt good. The blow feels even harder to take given that the last 11 years Dad has been very bravely and sucessfully living with Parkinson disease. In a little over two weeks he has gone from being a mobile, busy, young 66 year old to being bedridden (due to loss of movement in his left hand side) in hospital and shortly to be moved to a care home. Its breaking our hearts to see him like this, and see his independance and lifestyle taken away so suddenly. Our main aim is to try and make the time he has left with us as comfortable and happy as it can be.

The money we are trying to raise will go towards making Dads life as easy as it can be and trying to give him some independance back. We particually need help getting the funds for an electric wheelchair so Dad can begin to move himself around and get out and about with the Grandchildren. As well as making improvements to his and my Mums house so hopefully he can come home to be with his family.
