Our dear cousin Glyn Roberts passed away at the terribly young age of 48 on 2nd of January this year.Everyone ,especially his family ,is heartbroken and are still numb with shock.How cruel,that someone so loved,so kind,so special ,who ran Marathons,raised thousands for charity and had such a thirst for life should pass away so suddenly with no warning.........no chance to say goodbye.
I met Glyn in 2010 after he saw my familytree website online and realised that we were related.We met several times at The Fairy Falls in Trefriw,North Wales and,although he was born & lived in London......he was often drawn back to North Wales.......whether it be for a cycling trip with his mates,a climbing trip with his son or a reunion with old friends and family.
I would fund the bench myself but ,to get a decent weatherproof one with a nice plaque is a little out of reach for me.
So,perhaps with a few small donations from the Dolgarrog Genealogy group,his family & friends, it would help greatly to fund the bench for a lasting memorial for such a well loved man who made such an impact on many peoples lives.
Any extra would be donated to The British Heart Foundation in his memory.Thank you
