Following further damage to the playground on Orgreave Park, a number of people have asked if there is a donation page to help with the costs of repairs to the park. Having discussed this with members of Orgreave Parish Council, they have confirmed that they are unable to accept cash donations as they are bound to certain rules and regulations regarding funding. However they would be able to accept donations of materials which can be used to repair the park. As the flooring on the park has now been damaged a number of times, and it is likely that once repaired it may happen again, the ultimate aim is to provide some secure fencing around the park which can be locked at night and prevent further damage. This will be an item for discussion at the next council meeting next month. This page has been set up to raise funds to contribute to the cost of fencing or if this is not a viable option to buy materials to donate to the Parish Council to be used to repair any further damage.
