We want a larger, more reliable van to deliver our services on the streets of Derby.
Our current van was brought from the proceeds of money raised by a local ‘Slimmers World’ group. It is currently having a second-hand engine and gearbox fitted, but we would like to get something more reliable.
It is stocked with fold up Gazebo’s, 2 food ovens, fold down tables, hot water holders, boxes of food, tableware, drinks, coats, jumpers, trousers and assorted clothing, sleeping bags and blankets.
It is packed to capacity. A larger van would enable us to carry more provisions and provide a better service.
The van is a vital link in our operation. Without it we would not be able to get our services onto the streets of Derby. We want to raise funds to buy a new reliable van with greater storage capacity. Our target of £15,000, would buy us a relatively new long wheelbase van, with 50% additional capacity.
