Story
On Sunday 16th July, hundreds of competitors in approximately 50 teams battle it out on the river in the UK’s largest Dragon Boat Race. From 9.30 am teams will race to determine who makes it into the exciting eight boat final at about 4 pm for the Challenge Cup.
This year, the DoubleTree Cookie Monsters from the DoubleTree by Hilton London - Kingston upon Thames will be racing to raise money and awareness for Love Kingston.
This charity is close to a lot of our team's hearts due to the wide range of causes that benefit from Love Kingston.
Love Kingston supports communities in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, now and in the future.
As well as building a legacy fund and giving grants to local charities to help them continue their vital services, they connect those willing to help, to those in need and offer a platform to encourage philanthropy across the whole borough.
Their vision -
"A Kingston where local people and local businesses come together to support local need. We are aiming high. Our target for 2020 is to be
nearing £1million.
Together we can create a thriving borough for all!"
