Dulcet Gene is a small charity with the main aim of supporting children with sensory reprocessing disorders, developmental delay and autism. Our current project is developing a SENSORY GARDEN in one of Norwich’s city parks ( awaiting the go ahead for a place in the beautiful Waterloo park) where children and their families would be able to enjoy the environment in sensory stimulating and creative ways. The garden will include sections on SMELL, TASTE, VISION and SOUND and will include a herb garden and a neighbourhood book exchange children’s library. As part of the project we are also planning to run FREE child WORKSHOPS once the garden has been established. We are currently in talks with Norwich City Council about the best location for the garden, we are hoping work will begin this Autumn with an official opening in late Spring 2018. As a small charity we relay heavily on volunteers, private donations and corporate sponsorship.

* We are a small charity with board of 3 trustees and free membership. Our annual income is expected to be less than £5000 so we are not registered with the charity commission but are fully recognised as a non profit small charity with constitution and charity bank account.
It was established as a tribute to the thousands of children undergoing genetic testing in search of answers to many difficult questions , and the special dulcet gene that makes them unique and wonderful
